Fairbanks Food Cooking Class!

Come learn about different foods that are cultivated here in Fairbanks, Alaska, where to source them, and a few ways to prepare them. We will be making ratatouille, malfouf salad, and rhubarb cake. All items are free of gluten, dairy, egg, and refined sugar.

The classic French dish ratatouille is marvelously versatile; it's excellent hot or cold, as a side dish, or as a main with meat added to it, as pictured here.

Malfouf salad is a Lebanese cabbage salad that can be made with the aforementioned cabbage, napa cabbage, even iceberg or romaine lettuce. Other veggies that can be included are tomatoes, cucumber, radishes, carrots, onions, and sprouts, with mint and parsley.

Rhubarb cake is a delicious way to end a meal. The cake can be made with other fruits or even without.
Class will be held from 2pm to 4:30 pm, September 25, 2021at Community Covenant Church 2136 McCullum Avenue.
Price is $35 ($20 for tuition, $15 for supplies).
